This post is eligible for a relocation package of £8K and a Recruitment and Retention Premia of £10,000 payable in two parts during the first year.

We are looking to recruit a substantive, full time (10 PA) Speciality Doctor in Acute Inpatient Psychiatry based in Boston, Lincolnshire.

Main duties of the role:

Working with colleagues you will be expected to:

  • Assess and initially treat new admissions, carry out physical examinations and organise any clinically indicated physical investigations.
  • Ongoing assessment and management of patients, including feeding into multidisciplinary reviews by presenting updated clinical information and documenting the multidisciplinary discussion.
  • Participate in CPA meetings and document as relevant.
  • Liaise with other professionals and key stakeholders
  • Prepare psychiatric reports and clinical referrals to mental health and physical health services.

Education and Qualifications

Essential

  • The Primary Medical Degree Full GMC Registration
  • GMC Licence to Practise
  • Excellent communication and empathic skills
  • Demonstrable leadership skills
  • Experience of team working
  • Evidence of organisational skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ideally, you will be Section 12 Approved, or eligible for approval at the time of commencing employment

Desirable

  • Section 12 MHA Approved MRCPsych
  • AC approval – support will be offered to achieve this if required
  • An additional post graduate qualification of relevance to (own specialty)
