The NHS Norfolk and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Group (NWCCG) is a clinically-led NHS organisation, responsible for commissioning (planning and purchasing) integrated health and social care for the people of Norfolk and Waveney.

The NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) Team have 6 CHC Commissioning Support Officer vacancies to form a new team that will support the CHC service.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to come on board and join us. This is a brilliant opportunity for an individual looking to develop their existing administration skills within a friendly, supportive environment.

We are looking for individuals with a proactive nature and excellent organisation skills to join our hardworking team, providing all-round administrative support and to deliver a consistent and excellent personalised customer service for patients, Local Authority and NHS stakeholders.

The role

The role will primarily involve coordinating the commissioning of care for NHS Continuing Healthcare patients and to ensure that that it is being delivered and documented accordingly, following a clinician prescription for care and the administration aspects of this, working closely with the clinical case managers, updating client information on systems and databases, taking telephone and email enquiries from new and existing customers and providers, processing all paperwork, and undertaking any ad-hoc administration duties to a high-quality standard. This really is an all-round, hands-on position.

Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Strong customer facing experience in any sector is important; as is being presentable with a personable manner, confident when liaising with others.
  • Outstanding communication skills, an ambitious attitude, and a precise attention to detail, you're happy to prioritise your own workload and complete tasks without supervision.
  • Previous experience within the NHS, health or social care sector would be desirable but is not essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Driving license essential and eligible to work in the UK.

Hybrid Working

The CCG operates a flexible approach to working. It is expected that our staff will work from a combination of home and office (where possible). For staff designated in a hybrid role they should have a safe and suitable place to work with Broadband access and space for a desk, chair and monitors.
