The role

We are excited to advertise this developmental Trainee Nursing Associate (TNA) role. This is a relatively new role within our Primary Care Network and the post holder will be based within Dorking PCN at The Leith Hill Practice in Capel, Dorking. We welcome applications from motivated and enthusiastic individuals who want to develop a career in Primary Care nursing. The Nursing Associate training programme combines and integrates both academic and work-based learning. The post holder will be employed by Dorking Healthcare as part of the Dorking PCN and will be supported to complete your university education and benefit from appropriate clinical supervision, with general advice and support on a day-to-day basis.

Your role will require you to secure a place on the 2-year Trainee Nursing Associate training programme, which includes the attainment of a level 5 Foundation Degree equivalent qualifications and NMC registration. You will be supported to do this as part of your appointment, and the programme is fully funded.

The post is offered as full time (37.5 hours per week which may include some evenings and weekends).

About you

We are looking for individuals who are excited when reading this vacancy and would like to progress to the role of Nursing Associate. You will have completed GCSE in Maths and English at grades A*- C (4-9) or equivalent and you must also be committed to attend university sessions. Experience in a care setting and team working are desirable along with good communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and an empathic nature.

The PCN’s are critical to the changing NHS and are the focal point of all locally developed planning and service delivery.
