Looking for a new, fulfilling and rewarding role - What about the Oxford Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team?

Based in Oxford City we are a dynamic and busy team who provide comprehensive assessments, crisis interventions and support to Adult of Working Age service users who require urgent support via the Urgent Care Pathway. The Urgent Care Pathway is an initiative by Oxfordshire Health Services, as part of Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, to meet the demands of the Ten-Year Plan to provide Crisis Response and Home Treatment Services.

Our team is mutli- professional and inclusive and work hard to provide robust home treatment options as an alternative to hospital admission and promote least restrictive care and recovery in the community.

As we are growing our service, we have an exciting opportunity and are thrilled to announce that we are recruiting to the role of a Band 7 Registered Nurse Clinical Lead. This is a great opportunity for a Senior Registered Nurse who wants to use operational management skills and evidence based clinical decision making skills to make a positive impact to the patients that access the service by acting as a professional and inspirational lead.

This new role is integral to developing and shaping the delivery of nursing provision within the service. The successful candidate will need to be highly motivated, enthusiastic with excellent communication and organisational skills. They will need to be forward thinking, able to engage patients, families and staff and also work in partnership with system partners and wider stakeholders.

The successful candidate working alongside the Team Manager and the leadership team will plan and build a sustainable and quality service alongside developing the team’s clinical model.

The role will require you to:

- Create, coordinate , implement, and assessing the delivery of care for individuals and patient populations.

-Implementing and monitoring the quality of the model of nursing provision within the service via the provision of line management and clinical supervision for junior nursing staff and personnel within the team.

-Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary mental healthcare team.

- Understand and implement evidence-based solutions to improve patient care as well as patient outcomes.

-Provide direct patient care and patient education as needed.

-Employ technology and information systems to improve healthcare outcomes

-Advocate for patients and communities.

-Acting as a knowledge resource for the interdisciplinary mental healthcare team.

 

Whilst the role will require you to undertake statutory and mandatory training, we will also opportunities for further learning to masters’ modules which the Trust runs in collaboration with various universities. The role includes research and quality improvement to evaluate and develop the crisis service.

We would support you to attend regular supervision and teaching sessions on a wide range of topics to enhance your experience. We would encourage you to attend wider national network forums to share ideas and enhance practice.
