The successful candidate’s primary function will be to deliver the 2nd Generation SORT training programme and to support operational staff during the teaching sessions. The post holder will provide assurance to the HART & EPRR Training Manager for the delivery of relevant specialist training.

The post holder will ensure the delivered training is aligned and compliant with related national Interoperable Capabilities contract standards and National Training Information Sheets and associated SOP’s. The training delivery will primarily be MTA and CBRN within the Special Operations Response Team, but may include delivery to partner agencies to ensure Interoperable Capabilities are developed and maintained regionally. The training will comply with NHSE/I, NARU requirements, Joint Operational Learning (JOL) recommendations and will follow SWASfT best practice.

The SORT Instructor will deliver clinical uplift training relating to: triage, catastrophic haemorrhage control and other injury patterns associated with emergent MTA methodologies. They will provide training in relation to triage and clinical management of patients involved with CBRN incidents.
