The Trust will support you in this duty by providing ongoing training, support and advice and have a Corporate Safeguarding Team who can be contacted for guidance and the provision of safeguarding supervision.


We are seeking a Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapy team leader to join our developing primary care Mental Health Team in the East of Southampton. The role is largely clinical with opportunity to expand skills in a team leader role, implementing service delivery, supervising staff and supporting with recruitment. You will be based within GP surgeries and working with service users of adult working age including older persons. You will work within scope of practice so if have worked within specialities these skills will be transferable. 

The successful applicant will become part of a growing primary care team who deliver care to some of the most diverse populations in Southampton. The PCN is a large, inclusive team with a focus on multi disciplinary working. There is an intention for mental health team to develop. 

You will contribute to the triage service, offering early assessment, brief interventions and signposting people to other services that can meet their needs in the local communities.
