The Alexandra Hospital in Redditch forms part of Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. The Trust is evolving its Emergency Department workforce at both of its acute sites. We are recruiting 3 band 8a posts and are actively pursuing a full ACP development programme for the Emergency Departments across both the Alex and Worcestershire Royal Hospitals.

There is commitment from the whole team to offer the educational supervision required to fulfil competency requirements, appraisal, revalidation and career progression. A friendly, positive and encouraging environment is provided with an emphasis on staff wellbeing and actively encouraging a healthy work life balance.

Enthusiasm and commitment are essential to help build the stable base from which our department can evolve. Successful candidates will work as part of the current 12 person middle grade team. The team will provide guidance and support to junior grades, ENPs and telephone advice to Emergency Nurse Practitioners based at the neighbouring Minor Injury Units. The successful candidate would be supported directly by9 Emergency Medicine consultants.

There will be opportunities to work cross county in the future as the ACP programme develops.
