SPECIALIST SURGICALDIETITIAN

NUTRITION AND DIETETICS

£32,306 - £39,027 per annum/pro rata (AfC Band 6)

37.5 hours per week - PERMANENT

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated dietitian looking to work within the acute adult team at Barnsley Hospital.

This permanent post specialises in Surgery, with a focus on supporting the peri-operative pathway and promoting nutrition within this area. It also provides the opportunity to work within specialist areas including parenteral nutrition and critical care, working closely with the team lead medical and surgical Dietitians. The post includes providing mentorship for our band 5 dietitians and support staff. Within our forward-thinking department there are specialist support packages provided, and opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills. You will also be able to develop and take part in staff teaching and training, and maintain your continuous professional development. If desired, there would be an option for this post to be rotational.

You will be part of our friendly dietetic team and have excellent support from experienced dietitians and our dedicated administration team. You will have the opportunity to support student dietitians on their placements as we take students from several universities. We are a proactive department where personal development is promoted, therefore attendance on study days is offered in line with identified learning needs.

This vacancy is advertised as full time; however, part time applicants would also be considered.

Enhanced Check:£38.00 + administration cost of £3.69 = £13.69 deduction from 1st months’ salary, then deduction from salary over following 3 months.
