This is a national vacancy, the successful candidate may be based at any of our main centres in the UK, final location to be agreed at interview.

This exiting and challenging role is working for NHS Blood and Transplant – a Special Health Authority, dedicated to saving and improving lives through the wide range of services it provides to the NHS. Role Summary – what is the job about?

The role will involve mobilising and management of programmes and projects, agreeing funding and scope through to delivery and completion. We have a large portfolio of complex, sometimes high risk projects/programmes and the role is key in managing inputs and relationships with key parts of the business through the full lifecycle – initiation, definition, delivery of the programme and its defined benefits and then to final closedown.

We are looking for a number of people who have the vision and purpose to deliver different types of organisational change – particularly in the areas of restructuring, processes change, implementing technological change and developing the digital agenda. We need individuals who have substantial and successful experience in the delivery of change programmes with a high level of business acumen, programme management, planning and organisational skills and working in a challenging stakeholder environment. Essential to the role is strong implementation skills – developing and driving forward the plan and ensuring it is executed smoothly and efficiently.

An increase in the base salary may be available for exceptional candidates.
