This is an exciting new opportunity to recruit a full-time consultant psychiatrist working in an acute inpatient setting.

The post holder will work alongside another full time Consultant to provide an inpatient based service to patients registered with general practitioners within Dorset.

The Acute Assessment Unit provides specialist assessment, treatment, and interventions to people with complex mental health needs in an acute phase of their journey within psychiatric services. The post holder will also have consultant overview of the suites designed as place of safety for people convened to St Ann’s hospital under section 136. The post holder will also work with two consultants to provide medical input for the Home Treatment team.
