Birmingham Children’s Hospital have an excellent opportunity for a permanent Burns Consultant to join our expanding team of established burn surgeons. We have both full time and part time posts available. The appointee will work within the Paediatric Burns Centre team, with duties both at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital and the University Hospital Birmingham. The post holder will deliver paediatric and some adult treatment.

This prestigious Burns Service is one of the busiest Paediatric Burns Centres in the country and covers the whole of the Midlands area and was the allocated Centre as part of the National Covid 19 plan. The Burns service in Birmingham is an integrated service with close working relations between the Children’s Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, where the adult burns centre is based. Joint working includes clinical care, rotas, education, research, audit and governance activities.

The postholder will become an integral part of the MDT Team who work closely with other specialties including paediatricians, intensivists and therapists and support in delivering the laser service.
