Due to service expansion we have opportunities for Healthcare Support Workers.

This is an exciting and varied role supporting people experiencing an acute mental health crisis.

The roles will be based at:

  • The Mental Health Urgent CareHub is at the Bradgate Unit, on the site of Glenfield Hospital, and is staffed by mental health practitioners with the expertise to treat people of all ages.. It is specifically for people with mental health needs that don’t need any physical health support from an emergency department and takes referrals from the Emergency Department, EMAS and the police as well as our colleagues in LPT.
  • The health based Place of Safety Assessment Unit is a place where mental health professionals can assess people's needs and work out the best next steps following them being detained by the Police under the Mental Health Act following concerns over their mental health.

Healthcare Support Workers play a vital role in supporting our patients and providing care at often difficult times and we are looking for passionate individuals who are committed to delivering the highest levels of patient care in a challenging but rewarding environment.
