We are offering a competitive inclusive salary range of £34,534 - £41,503 per annum plus 10% night shift enhancement. Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK’s largest private hospitals, with state-of-the-art facilities located on Harley Street. Our Urology & Neurosciences Unit comprises of 15 patient rooms all with en-suite facilities. We provide medical and surgical care to patients for neuroscience & urology procedures, craniotomies, head and neck -tracheotomy, and live donor renal transplant. We are also pioneers in robotic interventions for Urology patients.

Job Profile

As a Staff Nurse you will be responsible for the delivery of the highest standards of care and service to the patients.

• Job Location: This role is located at The London Clinic’s main hospital sitein London, W1G 6BW (Close to Regents Park & Baker Street tube stations).
• Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Sunday. Shifts include; Rotational Long Days (7:45am – 8:15pm), (Nights (7:45pm – 8:15am) & Weekends.
• Salary: The attractive salary range for this role is £34,534 - £41,503 per annum,plus 10% night shift enhancement.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for individualised patient care acting as the named nurse for the patient.
• Maintain accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating programmes of care within the nursing framework.
• Promote safe practice and professional conduct, as well as research-based practice, quality assurance and clinical audit where appropriate.
• Encourage good working relationships within the multidisciplinary team, to ensure the effective care and treatment of patients.
• Coordinate the patients’ discharge arrangements and ensure legibility and accuracy of nursing records.

Skills & Experience

• Registered General Nurse with valid NMC Registration.
• Post registration experience in a surgical inpatient ward environment.
• Urology & Neurosciences experience would be desirable but not essential, as we are open to surgical and/or medical nurses looking to specialise.
• IV giver/assessor and experience with cannulation & venepuncture, tracheostomy care and male catheterization would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills who demonstrates high standards of clinical practice.
• To be able to prioritise own workload effectively, and can work independently as well as part of a team in order to meet the demands of the unit.
