Come and work as a Physiotherapy Technician rehabilitating patients in their homes and in gymnasium based group settings helping them recover quality of life and independence with the Portsmouth Community Physiotherapy Team.

You will have the opportunity to work flexible hours and to work from home or the office for the administrative components of your role. You will be part of a hugely supportive team with clear leadership, excellent supervision and have access to funded training opportunities as well as comprehensive internal training and induction.

Our team has a reputation for being friendly, supportive and dynamic. We see patients really promptly after referral and have revolutionised our working practices to provide really responsive care to patients.

The role requires an experienced and motivated individual with excellent communication and organisational skills, to work directly with patients referred to the physiotherapy teams. You will provide evidence based exercise and advice, and work towards patient goals holding your own caseload. You will be encouraged, and required, to develop skills and knowledge related to our client group to enable you to provide a high quality holistic care. Team working with other health and social care professionals is essential. You must have a positive attitude and good coping abilities.

The successful applicant will work providing rehab to adults aged 18 and over who are housebound, or who suffer with frailty and require specialist assessment and management. The post holders will have the opportunity to provide group and individual treatments.

There is the opportunity to work towards a Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care as part of this role and the role will require you to be trained as a Postural Stability Instructor if you do not already hold this qualification.

We are undertaking further development of our service model and so now is a very exciting time to join the team!

We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic person with a background experience of working within health teams who has a passion to support people to remainindependent within their communities. Ideally you may have worked as an exercise technician or physiotherapy assistant / technician before although we invite applications from people from other fields within health and social care. Some health and social care experience is essential to apply for this post.

It is essential that you are a car owner and driver as this is a community based post.
