An exciting role has arisen in the Community Bladder and Bowel Service in Portsmouth for a nurse with a specialism in either Urology or Bowel care.

The service promotes continence and the management of incontinence, along with all aspects of pelvic floor dysfunction through interventions by specifically trained Nurses, Health Care Support Workers and supported by the Women’s Health Physiotherapy Team.

The role is part-time and will be based in outpatient clinics at St Mary’s Hospital, with flexible hours to be agreed with the successful candidate.

The Clinicians provide an assessment and treatment service for patients with bladder and bowel dysfunction, following Trust and National guidelines with regular MDT’s for patients with more complex needs. This provides the opportunity to update and improve Clinical pathways ensuring the best outcome for the patient.

The Bladder and Bowel service also assesses and provides Continence containment products following the Trust Formulary appropriate to the clinical need of the patient.

We are seeking an experienced nurse who has a background in either urology or bowel care who is looking for an opportunity to consolidate current skills and the opportunity to develop other skills through specialist courses and training alongside our Specialist Nurses.
