Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust was rated good by the Care Quality Commission in its recent inspection report published in January 2020.

The Trust’s main hub is the Queen Alexandra Hospital, which started life more than a century ago as a military hospital. Today it is one of the largest, modern hospitals on the south coast, with 1,200 beds housed in light, bright, infection resistant, en-suite wards. With a turnover of close to £600m, the Trust provides comprehensive secondary care and specialist services to a local population of 675,000 people across South East Hampshire. Some tertiary services are provided to a wider catchment in excess of two million people. The Trust employs over 7,300 staff and is the largest employer in Portsmouth.

We are excited to grow our established, dynamic EDI team by recruiting an EDI Support Officer. You will want to make a difference and passionate about improving the experience that staff, patients and members of the community receive.

This is a truly rewarding role where you will support, empower and engage with our people including staff networks to reach their full potential and ensure that they are at the heart of inclusive decision making. You will also be involved with the delivery of our EDI strategy, which is our plan to support staff and managers to work in ways that promote inclusion, where developing new and strengthening existing relationships with the community and partners will be key. Within this role, you will be empowered and wholeheartedly supported by the EDI team to make a difference to the lives of people who work for us and access our services.
