We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Health Visitors to become part of the Public Health Nursing team to deliver the 0 – 19 Healthy Child Programme to children and families across Southampton City.

Our team support our most vulnerable families with the well embedded Enhanced Child Health Visiting Offer (ECHO) which is part of a new and innovative approach to early help and prevention. In this role you will be making a real difference to our patients lives.

This post offers an excellent opportunity to further develop skills within Public Health Nursing and our work to maximize the contribution of the six High Impact Areas.Solent NHS is committed to finding creative ways of providing timely and effective interventions to make a positive difference to the lives of children and their families.

We have embraced the upskilling of staff by offering training such as Solihull, Parent and Child Game and have the benefits of regular supervision from the Specialist Health Visitor for Perinatal and Infant Mental Health andCAMHSpsychotherapist. Further development and use of the Australian Attachment Questionnaire and other low-level interventions for anxiety are also planned work Programmes. We work with our Partner agencyNSPCCto deliver the Building Blocks Programme. Our Health Visitors are well supported through a positive culture of regular clinical and safeguarding supervision and one to one-line management.

We need creative and motivated Health Visitors who are keen to work with us to embed our new service model in the delivery of the Health Child Programme (HCP). You will have excellent communication skills, be flexible and can implement new and exciting ways of working differently to improve positive outcomes for our children and families. You will need to have good organizational skills, problem solving skills and to quickly be able to gain a good rapport with people from a range of backgrounds. It is essential you can work as part of a team working in a collaborative way with a range of professionals.
