We are looking for Registered Nurses and Midwives to join our Health Visiting team as a Community Health Nurse (CHN) in Solent NHS Trust. We welcome applications from all Registered Nurses, Adult, Child, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, and Registered Midwives.

We are looking for nurses and midwives who are passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of children, ensuring they meet their full potential and are ready for school and their lives ahead. Do you feel this role could be perfect for you? We will offer you a comprehensive induction package which will include mentorship and clinical supervision as well as development opportunities. We encourage our CHNs to grow and develop, including consideration for the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse Programme.

You will work primarily with children from pre- birth to 5 years and their families, alongside experienced Health Visitors to deliver the Healthy Child Programme (DH 2009). The Healthy Child Programme is an evidence-based programme that focuses on supporting children and families with screening, immunisation, health and development reviews, supplemented by advice around health, wellbeing and parenting.

As a CHN, you will be instrumental in the delivery of high-quality care. This role will draw on your knowledge and skills to ensure the best outcomes are achieved and deliver care to children and families at the right time and in the right place. If successful you will be supported through a specially developed training programme with skilled support and guidance from the health visiting team.
