The Patient Experience Team is offering an opportunity for an enthusiastic member of staff to join the Voluntary Services team for 12 months. You will provide full administrative support predominantly focusing on the recruitment of volunteers and their supervision and training requirements.

You will be involved with recruitment campaigns to attract new volunteers to join the Trust by linking with local colleges and university and other local voluntary agencies.

This post is an exciting opportunity to work within a team that are striving to improve the patient experience through harnessing the skills, passion and commitment of volunteers.

Candidates would ideally need to have had previous experience of working with a voluntary service and of working in a customer focused environment. Previous NHS experience is desirable but not essential with the ability to demonstrate compassion, empathy and understanding, a flexible ‘can do’ attitude, excellent communication/interpersonal and IT skills. The successful candidate will have strong administration and organisational skills, exemplary attention to detail, and an ability to work well within a team.

Our teams of care professionals work with patients and their families to support peoples’ independence, health and wellbeing. We provide support to avoid hospital admissions, and if an admission is necessary, we try to make each patient’s stay in hospital as short and effective as possible before working with them on a safe discharge home.

Our patients (through the Friends and Family Test) regularly report an average of over 95% satisfaction with our services.
