We have a exciting opportunity for an Operational Manager to join our General Practice teams. We are looking to welcome someone who is knowledgeable and innovative to lead the daily running of the surgery and support us in living our HEART values.

Having been in existence since 2010, #TeamSolentGP have evolved from three separate practices (Adelaide, Portswood & Nicholstown) to form one surgery in 2017. We now care for a total of over 20,000 patients within Southampton City across 3 sites- basing ourselves at the Royal South Hants Hospital, Portswood Surgery and Adelaide Health Centre. Solent NHS Trust also run the Homeless Healthcare GP Surgery alongside the main Surgery which operates out of the Two Saints Day Centre and holds a patient list of ~400.

We’d really welcome someone who is passionate about putting patient’s first, loves to bring individuals/ teams together and can think on their feet. It’s essential they have knowledge of Primary Care as well as experience of managing different teams whilst championing patient safety and providing great patient care.

What’s different about working for Solent GP Surgery? We are unique in the fact that we run an APMS contract for Southampton City CCG and therefore benefit from having a salaried GP model with clinical champions and a GP Clinical Lead in place. We’re the only practice in the city working within Solent NHS Trust which allows us to draw upon it’s infrastructure to offer support and access to a wide range of resources including Finance, Occupational Health, HR, Information Governance and Patient Advice and Liaison teams. In addition, we have a Learning and Development team which provide bespoke training to Solent NHS Trust employees.

You will be well supported to develop and grow with opportunities throughout the whole organisation if you wish to pursue these.
