We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Charge Nurse/Ward Sister in Mental Health Service for Older People which is part of the Mental Health Directorate.

Mental Health services for older people consists of four wards across two sites The Bennion Centre and The Evington Centre. The wards provide support for older adults with functional and organic needs.

You will be joining a ward team as the Band 7 charge nurse/ward sister who provide operational oversight and leadership to Inpatient Mental Health Teams for patients over the age of 65 years.

This is a full time position working 37.5 hours per week that requires flexible working.

We are looking for a highly experienced Registered Mental Health nurse with strong clinical & managerial skills, enthusiasm and motivation to provide visible leadership on the ward. The post holder will be an experienced Band 6 nurse who can demonstrate that they have a range of transferable skills from their experience in an acute setting. Supported by the Matron you will have clear vision and direction for patient care, aspiring to achieve the best care we can possibly give.

The successful candidate will be supported to develop their leadership ability and management skills and will lead by example to deliver excellence in patient care for both mental health and physical health care.
