We are looking for a motivated, experienced MSK physiotherapist to work within our well-established Occupational Health Service.

We are looking to recruit a Band 6 Physiotherapist, to be part of a service offering great opportunities to develop the Occupational Health MSK service and enhance your future physiotherapy practice. Your learning needs will be supported by in-house training and programmed learning opportunities. Clinical support and supervision will be available through a network of links with physiotherapists, nurses, doctors, therapists and wellbeing practitioners.

For the right candidate,there may be opportunity for you to attend courses to enable you to gain specialist knowledge in the field of Occupational Health.

You will be working as part of a busy multi-professional team focusing on employee health, safety and wellbeing, preventing and addressing common health problems and work outcomes.

Please find below a list of some of the key duties of the role:

  • A specialist resource for NHS employees and external organisations within a specialist Occupational Health and Wellbeing team.
  • Based from Bitterne Health Centre, Southampton but there will be some requirement to travel throughout Hampshire (mainly Royal South Hants/St Marys Hospital Portsmouth) but also to work flexibly from home.
  • Assess and treat your own caseload who present with complex needs requiring physiotherapy intervention and maintaining associated records as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Provide advice and support to other clinicians within the Occupational Health and Wellbeing team in relation to MSK, physiotherapy and ergonomics issues
  • As part of your clinical practice, to contribute to the reduction of sickness absence and promote and support a return to work for our NHS employees.
  • Provide specialist advice to NHS employees and managers.
  • Assist in the achievement of SEQOHS (Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health Service) standards to develop a centre of excellence. Participate in internal audit programmes and develop local procedures for the Service.
  • Ensure that customer service and customer experience is paramount in all activities.

The service covers the Hampshire area and therefore you will need to travel to various locations to work with NHS employees. A valid UK driving licence plus the use of a vehicle is essential.
