Our ambitious multi-million pound plans to develop our sites are well underway, including developing RBH as the major acute and emergency hospital in East Dorset, PH as the major planned care hospital, and ambitious plans for Christchurch to support on-going patient treatment.

UHD Medical Specialties Directorates (both RBCH and PGH sites)

We are looking to appoint 3 new colleagues to the Gastroenterology Department at University Hospitals Dorset, resulting from the merger between the Royal Bournemouth Hospital (RBH) and Poole General Hospital (PGH.)

These are 2 new permanent posts and one 12 month Fixed term post with a view to substantive appointment in a year for full-time (10PA with option of 11th) consultant gastroenterologists, though applicants wishing to work flexibly or less than full-time will be considered. Sub-specialist interests such as ERCP/EUS, or nutrition would be desirable but not essential and any sub-specialty interest would be considered. It is essential that any applicant is highly competent and independent in therapeutic endoscopic management of GI bleeding and able to manage a wide variety of complex inpatient gastroenterology.
