We currently have the opportunity for an engaged, forward thinking, proactive doctor to join our high energy team, who can add their own unique value to already diverse team in the Emergency Department on the St. Peters site.

In 2021 Ashford and St Peters have been through a restructure moving from four divisions to six. The Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) division was formed in January 2021 and it is now an exciting time to join. Our aim is to provide excellence in clinical care and strive continuously for service development.

ED is divided into 6 sections:

Ambulatory Majors

Fit to Sit

Trolleys / Low dependency

Majors / High dependency


A&E Clinical Decisions Unit

Urgent and Emergency Division also covers Clinical Assessment Unit (CAU), Ambulatory Clinical Assessment Unit (AECU) and Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC).

The Emergency Department at St Peters’ is the largest and busiest department in Surrey operating a 24- hour service and seeing 110,000 patients a year.

We are looking for someone to join an engaged, high energy team and add their own unique value to the already diverse team. 90% of the post if clinical, spent working amongst their middle grade colleagues, under the oversight of the EM Consultant Team and supporting the Foundation Year Two trainees. The post offers weekly protected department teaching and benefits from education supervision from an EM consultant.
