Central & West Locality Manager – Integrated Localities

Band 8a -

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and passionate individual to join our forward-thinking Integrated Localities leadership group as the Locality Manager for our Central & West Locality.

The Isle of Wight NHS Trust is a progressive integrated Trust providing Acute, Mental Health, Ambulance and Community Services.

You would be joining our Community and Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Divisions at an exciting time as we progress on our journey to outstanding. Our transformational achievements include the extensive use of technology enabled care and the development of integrated multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams, in conjunction with a wide range of partners across the Island and improving access to services 24/7 through our Integrated MH Hub, implementing the new community-based Recovery Service and launching MH Support Teams in schools with third sector partners.

This new opportunity will be pivotal to the development of integrated community teams across the Island’s 3 localities, providing operational leadership to the locality covering Newport, Cowes and the West Wight. The role will provide day-to-day management of community nurses, locality therapists, community mental health practitioners and adult social care staff with a focus on inter-professional care. The role will support in developing partnerships and pathways with wider partner organisations across the Island. It will also play a key role in an exciting estates project to develop the Central & West Locality Hub which will also host several community secondary care and Adult Social Care Mental Health services.

The division is keen to hear from individuals who have: -

  • · the skills to lead teams working together in new ways to provide high quality care interprofessional care
  • · behavior’s aligned with the Division – Resilient, Open & Honest, Curious, Kind, Inclusive and Trusting
  • · We welcome high caliber candidates who hold either a health or social care registration but would particularly like to encourage applicants with experience managing Mental Health services

The post will be based across Community & Mental Health & Learning Disabilities Services sites on the Isle of Wight, with the Central & West base in Newport.
