The Trust operates hospital-based services from three sites in Kidderminster, Redditch and Worcester

The directorate of surgical specialties has received significant funding to expand our well established team of Advanced Nurse Practitioners working within the General Surgery division, including the Surgical Clinical Decision Unit (SCDU), Surgical Same Day Emergency Care (SSDEC) and the surgical wards.

We are now in a position to offer a development opportunity where will we support the right candidates to enhance their knowledge and skills to become future Advanced Clinical Practitioners within the speciality. This role will require commitment from the succesful candidate to undergo further training and education.

It will at times be a challenging environment and you will need to be experienced, confident and have experience is managing a group of acutely unwell patients. It is essential you have highly developed management and leadership expertise in dealing with people both individually and in a team. You will need to effectively engage with your patients, peer groups, and service users in all elements of your role, leading by example and promoting a supportive, compassionate and caring culture. You will work with Consultants and support the junior on-call medical team to plan and deliver safe, effective and quality care for our patients. This will require an inclusive, transparent, open approach to your role, whereby you are accountable to others and go that extra mile when required.
