We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to fill a new and exciting position of Deputy Support Manager.

The successful candidate will work alongside the Booked Admissions Manager in the Booked Admissions Team, based on the NDDH site and will bring new ideas, be supportive to the team and work with training new staff.

We are looking for someone:

  • With experience of line management of staff, in particular focusing on management of staff performance and sickness absence.
  • With an assertive and positive, ‘can do’ management style, who is both flexible and adaptable to change, fluctuating demands and situations.
  • Reliable, with a good working track record who can work independently.
  • Who is highly organised and able to prioritise challenging workloads despite conflicting demands to meet deadlines.
  • Able to demonstrate they can lead and motivate a team of people within a sometimes uncertain and rapidly changing environment.
  • With excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills with a sensitive approach to team management and service users.
  • Who is innovative and resourceful, has a sense of financial awareness and able to introduce new ideas and turn ideas into operational practice, working supportively with others to ensure effective systems and processes are implemented that support service delivery.
  • With an interest and some experience of project management skills.

You will be required to prepare and deliver a six minute talk on how you will bring new ideas, be supportive to the team and work with training new staff.

We provide support to avoid hospital admissions, and if an admission is necessary, we try to make each patient’s stay in hospital as short and effective as possible before working with them on a safe discharge home.
