An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 24 hour per week post for a Community Mental Health Nurse or Occupational Therapist within Portsmouth Early Intervention in Psychosis Team. The team currently cover the age range of 14 upwards.

It operates on the 14 day referral to treatment model for first episodes in psychosis.

The successful candidate will have a caseload of service users that they are responsible for under CPA.

The team is multidisciplinary comprising of Nurses, OTs, psychologist's and psychiatrist.

There are regular opportunities for further training including Family Intervention and CBT.

You will be able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate all aspects of care including working/liaising with multi-disciplinary teams and other agencies in the provision of care and have the ability to engage service users and relatives with empathy and compassion.

You should have a Registered Mental Health Nurse/OT registration/qualification, good written and verbal communication skills, be able to work as part of a team and demonstrate an understanding of mental health issues with experience of dealing with emotional distress.

Job Specific: Portsmouth, St Mary's Hospital.
