Talking Change is a well-established and high performing Improving Access to Psychological Therapy (IAPT) service provided by Solent NHS Trust and commissioned by NHS Portsmouth CCG. The service was launched in 2009 to provide evidence based psychological interventions for the population of Portsmouth in primary care. More recently the service expanded to help meet the need of the patients with comorbid physical health conditions.
We are looking for a Counsellor who will deliver high quality services through the use of routine outcome measurement, evidence-based treatment and electronic record and data management systems and participation in clinical and management supervision. Alongside this, they will need to provide short term counselling and counselling groups for the residents of Portsmouth City. This will be a combination of face to face, telephone and Zoom appointments. The clinics are held at various locations within Portsmouth City.
The candidate should be able to demonstrate good communication, organisational and interpersonal qualities. They will need to be able to prioritise the workload, adopt a flexible and positive attitude to the role and show initiative.
