Although based at Crown Heights in Basingstoke, you will be expected to work in sexual health clinics across North Hampshire to include Aldershot and Bordon and on occasion, Hampshire-wide, dependent on the needs of the service.

For this post, you will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to the use of a car.

There is 1 full time post available –which is 37.5 hours per week including evenings and weekends.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, motivated, and flexible Healthcare Support Worker to join our integrated sexual health service. We provide screening and treatment of sexually transmitted infections, HIV care and contraception to a diverse population of clients.

The successful candidate may have some previous experience working as a Healthcare Support Worker or in a sexual health environment but people skills and a willingness to learn are paramount.

Adaptability is essential in an ever-changing service. The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, their ability to work as part of a close-knit team and an understanding of the importance of putting clients at the centre of their care.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to phlebotomy, chaperoning clinical staff, restocking, some administration, and reception duties and supporting the rest of the team to run an efficient service.

In return you will become a valued member of a team known for its innovation and high standard of care. You will be supported to complete in house training by a line manager and HCSW 'mentor'. You will have regular one to one meetings and appraisals to monitor your progress and development needs. In addition, the service offers regular education sessions and clinical supervision.
