If you are looking for somewhere you can make a real difference and are passionate about keeping people safe, well and out of hospital, a career with us may be just what you’re looking for. At Solent NHS Trust, we strive to make a difference to the health and wellbeing of our communities.

We are proud to be an organisation which is focused on our people and we welcome people who share our values to come and work with us.

  • To deliver great care that is safe, simple and easy to access
  • To be a caring, flexible and supportive place to work
  • To deliver the best value for money

Are you motivated, and proactive and a skilled pharmacist? Do you want to help improve patient outcomes by getting the use of medicines ‘right’? Do you believe in the role of the pharmacist in improving patient safety?

If the answer to all 3 is yes, why not join our ward-based team at Solent?

We need someone like you, someone who can bring their skills to bear and work together with the clinical pharmacy leads, dispensary manager, and others to deliver an efficient, high quality, professional and well-coordinated service to Solent inpatients.

Starting as a Band 6 you will gradually be introduced to all aspects of our work and gain experience in the key responsibilities required of a band 7 pharmacist.

We expect you to be ambitious and the opportunity will be offered and supported for you to work towards the Certificate/Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice.

With experience in post, having completed the diploma and demonstrating that the key responsibilities have been met, you would be eligible for progression to a band 7.

If you are a Registered Pharmacist, with great communication skills, we would love to hear from you!

For more information or to arrange an informal chat, please contact our Deputy Chief Pharmacist, Jennifer Etherington on 02380 540484.

We will contact you via NHS Jobs if you are shortlisted for interview. Please be advised that we may choose to close adverts early should we receive a high number of applications.
