Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1 million people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and enthusiastic Band 3 Generic Technical Instructor to join our therapy team working at Hinckley and Bosworth Community Hospital.

You will be working alongside the therapists covering an inpatient ward of sub-acute medically unwell patients to provide short stay rehabilitation and discharge planning. The ward also promotes integrated working with a variety of members of the multi-disciplinary team.

Your role will involve demonstrating the ability to multi-task in a busy environment, work under your own initiative and be able to manage your workload flexibly to meet the demands of the service. Duties will include assessing and progressing patient’s therapy treatments on the ward including being responsible for your own caseload with senior supervision as required. The role combines a mixture of practical skills including handling and treating patients, issuing equipment when identified, alongside advising, reassuring, and educating patients, relatives, and carers.

You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The service offers structured Appraisal and Clinical Supervision systems, and actively promotes Continued Professional Development through in-service and external training.

You will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team, including social care colleagues and senior therapy staff.
