We have an exciting opportunity to expand our Security Team in Portsmouth and are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic individual to join as a Security Officer!
This is a full time position to be worked over 4 days, with shifts varying from days, nights or weekends at 12 hours per shift.
Our Security Team are responsible for ensuring a high quality of Security Portering service to our sites in Portsmouth including St James' Hospital, St Mary's Community Health Campus in Milton and surrounding Portsmouth areas.
As a Security Officer, you will provide a reassuring visible presence with a caring and sensitive approach and endeavour to create and maintain a safe and crime free environment at all times. You will need to carry out Security & Portering duties quickly and efficiently with care and concern for patients comfort, welfare, dignity and privacy.
You will work under the guidance of Senior Security Officers following well established operating procedures and demonstrating ability as well as working positively with other Facilities and Estates Departments to maintain effective working relationships.
Your main duties will include the prevention of crime, patrolling, securing buildings, monitoring CCTV, supporting porters and oversight of car parking.
What we need from you:
Previous experience of working within the security industry would be an advantage however in-house training will be provided. Cross site working will be required so a full UK driving licence and access to the use of a vehicle is essential.
