The National Health Service Blood and Transplant Tissue Services are an integral part of the NHS. Our Tissue Donation Programme saves and radically improves hundreds of lives every year.
You will have NVQ level 3 in Care or Science or 4 GCSE’s at Grade C or above including English and Maths (or equivalent). You will also need to be able to retrieve multiple tissues from newly deceased donors. You must have good IT and organisational skills as you will have considerable administrative duties. A valid, manual, driving license is essential.
If you are able to work evenings and weekends within a 7 day scheduled rota, we’d love to hear from you.
We anticipate training to the Senior Tissue Donation Assistant role to take 6-12 months.
