The NHS provides healthcare to patients across the country, including GP surgeries, hospital care, care in the community and specialist care. Solent NHS Trust is a community and mental health Trust and provides care in the community across Hampshire and care in St James and St Marys hospitals in Portsmouth and the Western hospital in Southampton. The Trust's headquarters is based in Highpoint Venue, Southampton, SO19 8BR.

An exciting opportunity is available within the Management Accounting Team for an Assistant Management Accountant supporting the Trusts Estates and Facilities Management teams. The role will support the Senior Finance Manager and Management Accountant in producing timely and accurate information covering all aspects of Financial Management including processing journals, maintaining expenditure schedules and answering queries from budget holders, along with assisting other members of the Management Accounts team when required.

The ideal applicant will have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail. Have excellent communication, influencing and persuading skills and a proven track record in achieving results. Importantly have the ability and drive to see both routine and ad-hoc tasks through to completion.
