Very excitingly the Children’s Continence Team at Solent NHS Trust are expanding to cover the area of North East Hampshire. We are looking to appoint a highly skilled, enthusiastic, and forward thinking registered Senior Nurse to work alongside our continence teams in Southampton and Portsmouth.
Our established, passionate, and dedicated Children’s Continence team work collaboratively with children, young people (CYP) and their families to get the best outcomes for CYP’s referred to the service. Working within the wider multi-disciplinary team and linking in with other teams within such as the children’s community nursing service and wider 0-19 health visiting and public health nursing teams. We provide high quality and holistic family centred approaches and interventions supporting children with continence needs.
We are looking for a candidate that is passionate about Children’s Continence. Ideally you will hold a Specialist Practitioner Qualification or be willing to undertake this and have experience of working with children and families. You will have line management, clinical leadership and caseload management skills.
As a Senior Nurse within the Children’s Continence service you will have the opportunity to shape our responsive service as it continually adapts to the ever-changing needs of the families we care for. You will have a key role in care planning, training, and multi-disciplinary liaison for CYP with a range of needs within their school and wider community settings.
If you have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work as a team player, as well as the initiative to work autonomously, we would like to hear from you. You should have good organisational skills and evidence of continued professional development.
This post is advertised as full time, however. we have a number of posts to appoint, so part time hours of 24 plus will also be considered.
Successful candidates will need to be willing to travel to Southampton for a period of training from our established and experienced team.
