The NHS South of England Procurement Services (SoEPS) has recently undergone a successful re-structure of its Clinical and Non-Clinical Procurement Teams and as part of this, we have created an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and highly motivated Category Manager who will focus on all areas relating to Non-clinical procurement of services and supplies. You will work closely with a range of highly skilled and motivated NHS Procurement Professionals as well as Clinical and Corporate staff from across the organisation and beyond, playing a significant part in the continued development of a high-functioning Procurement Service.

The Category Manager will take lead responsibility for the delivery of strategic and operational Procurements on behalf of our NHS Clinical teams. The subject matter will be interesting, and the role will be fast paced and dynamic and will involve undertaking critical procurement activities across a wide and varied range of Non-clinical areas.

The successful candidate will be a Procurement Professional with good analytical and numerical skills which are of course essential in the role, as well as a good working knowledge of Public and/or Private Sector Procurement Operations as well as Microsoft Office packages such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

NHS South of England Procurement Services are based near Fareham, Hampshire (close to Junction 9 of M27) and there will be opportunities to travel to the Trusts that we support and gain insight into the technical aspects of the Procurements that we are asked to deliver by our NHS Colleagues.
