Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1 million people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join us as a permanent, full-time member within our friendly and integrated Therapy team in the city medical step down/rehab wards.

The successful candidate will work as a part of the team to assist in delivering safe, effective, quality treatments including the assessment and rehabilitation of patients within inpatients community hospital setting at Evington centre (City inpatient medical step down and rehab beds). You will work alongside physiotherapists and other MDT members carrying out comprehensive functional assessments and interventions to progress the patients towards their discharge.

This post requires a level of personal responsibility and we are looking for someone highly motivated and proactive with the ability to prioritise their own workload, use their initiative and the ability to work on their own and as part of a team. You will demonstrate excellent communication, clinical and leadership skills and be able to adapt to a changing and pressurised environment.

Our teams are well established and enthusiastic about delivering a high-quality assessment and treatment. We have a formal in-service training programme to facilitate your professional development and you will be fully supported by senior staff and clinical specialists. You will also actively participate in regular supervision and appraisal review.
