An exciting opportunity has arisen within Logistics as we are looking to recruit a Logistics Driver Trainer, for the Midlands & South West Region.

You will report to the National Fleet Support Manager and will be key in delivering compliance of Legislation and NHSBT best practice training requirements for all drivers of liveried fleet across the region.

 

Your main responsibilities will include: -

  • Training of colleagues in driving across NHSBT including Transport, Blood Donation, Tissue and Eye Services and Marketing
  • Inducting new drivers to the business and training in line with our driver handbook
  • Recording training and assisting in the audit of operational service by compiling reports for the compliance team.
  • Maintaining and updating transport training records
  • Attending Regional/ National meetings to present training compliance and best practise
  • Communicate with external/Internal service providers to establish training criteria
  • Act as a role model challenging any concerns with non-compliances
  • Be an advocate for core principles such as lifelong learning H&S culture and continuous improvement
  • Assist in accident investigation and re-training

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be friendly, approachable and be able to work independently and flexibly across the region. There will on occasion be a requirement for you spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice.
