Due to the expansion of the Integrated Community Children’s Nursing Service (iCCN), we have a vacancy we have an Operational Manager. This role will enable us to evaluate the long-term structure needed with the current service growth and as we align more closely with our colleagues in the West of the service line.

We would welcome applications from people who have recognised leadership experience and/or see this as a development opportunity to expand their leadership skills in a different service area.

We are looking for an experienced individual, who ideally has previously managed clinical/nursing teams or had a close working relationship with them. The successful candidate must have both the vision and adaptability to work across teams and service boundaries and lead system wide transformation of these services.

The successful candidate will be part of the Senior Leadership team for Community Childrens’ Nursing Service. They will form an integral partnership with the Modern Matron and Service and Quality Manager based in Portsmouth, South East Hampshire, Fareham & Gosport as well as closely aligning with Clincial Matron and Operational Manager in Southampton & South West Hampshire.

These are exciting as well as challenging times for the Community Children’s Nursing Service as it goes through a period of growth, reset and recovery, alongside continuing to transform service delivery.

The role is initially on a part time basis (22.5hrs per week), for a fixed term period of 12 months, but will be reviewed before the end of the contract.
