MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

BFS – ESTATES OPERATIONS

BFS Level B - Spot Point - £30,968 per annum pro/rata

Additional non-contractual attendance bonus: £1,000 per annum

On call allowance premium: Circa £2,000 per annum

Plus: circa £3,000+ for attending on call

37.5 hours per week – PERMANENT

Barnsley Facilities Services (BFS) is a subsidiary company that is part of the Barnsley Hospital Group. BFS provides first class onsite estates, facilities and procurement services to Barnsley Hospital and the wider community.

In the role you will carry out planned preventative maintenance, trouble shooting, repair work and provide a first-class emergency service on a wide range of plant and equipment throughout the hospital and the wider community. You will be expected to participate in an emergency on-call rota for the out-of-hours service provided by the department. The role also attracts a non-contractual attendance bonus.

You’ll be part of the Barnsley Operational Estates Services Team, working in Barnsley Hospital. We’re looking for team members who want to develop; previous experience is essential however training and support is a priority to us.  Highly motivated people are welcome and those who demonstrate values and personal qualities that support the Barnsley Hospital way of working.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will become an active member of our team working closely with other disciplines. You’ll have the chance to progress and learn new skills. Standard Check:    £23.00 + Administration cost of £3.69 = deduction from salary as a one off payment.

Enhanced Check:  £40.00 + administration cost of £3.69 = £13.69 deduction from 1st months’ salary, £10.00 deduction from salary over following 3 months.
