Barnsley Facilities Services (BFS) is a subsidiary company that is part of the Barnsley Hospital Group. BFS provides first class onsite estates, facilities and procurement services to Barnsley Hospital and the wider community.

As an experienced General Foreman (Electrical), you will play a key role in helping to shape the future of the Estates maintenance service within BFS and will have managerial, professional and technical responsibility for the operational estate’s services provided.

You will lead the maintenance team (Electrical) and will assist the Estates Manager with the management of the Estates Hard FM infrastructure and the wider Estates function, to provide a high quality, proactive and responsive maintenance and repair service for the Trust.

You will ensure that the environment including all buildings and facilities are compliant, safe and fit for purpose, for patients and staff including relatives and visitors.

You will ensure compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act, and associated Statutory Regulations that are applicable to the to the position, with suitable training and support. In addition, you will act as an Authorised/Responsible Person for a number of specialised building and engineering services, such as LV electrical systems, Ventilation and Medical Gases. This role is ideally suited towards an electrical bias background.

As a strong people manager and someone who continually seeks improvement, you will be passionate about the provision of high-quality service delivery; ensuring clear direction concerning service improvements and the effective utilisation of resources providing a customer focused approach. You will have the ability to motivate and encourage staff and self in their development.

Standard Check:    £23.00 + Administration cost of £3.69 = deduction from salary as a one off payment.

Enhanced Check:  £40.00 + administration cost of £3.69 = £13.69 deduction from 1st months’ salary, £10.00 deduction from salary over following 3 months.
