Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1 million people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
It is an exciting time for Mental Health Services in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Our community mental health offer is undergoing a major transformation and we are searching for people with a range of skills and a passion to deliver great mental health services.
Due to career progressions, we have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to join our fantastic community mental team at West Leicestershire planned treatment team based in Hinckley. We currently have a hybrid model of base and home working and are continuing the use of a combination of platforms for patient contact which include Attend Anywhere video software, face to face and phone.
Our team is very welcoming, supportive, fun and friendly. We provide assessment and treatment interventions for patients 18-65 years old with severe and enduring mental illness in a recovery focused way. We are looking for people that:
- Have an enthusiastic, can do attitude.
- Enjoy being a team player as well as being able to work on own initiative.
- Have excellent documentation skills in terms of record keeping.
- Have previous experience of working with mental illness either in an inpatient or community setting.
- Are positive and enthusiastic in quality improvement initiatives.
- Working knowledge of recovery principles and interventions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Have good IT skills or a willingness to embrace the learning.
- An ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure when required.
- The ability to manage the demands of a case load and plan diary effectively.
- Be able to effectively support and supervise junior staff and students.
