The Southampton Urgent Response Service is looking to recruit Band 3 Community Healthcare Support Workers to join our team which is an integrated health and social care team working across Southampton City.

You would be working closely with a range of professionals to provide care and rehabilitation programmes to clients who require immediate intensive care to enable them to stay in their home environment and reach an optimum level of self-care. This will include, helping with personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, and encouraging mobility/supporting patients with exercise programmes. You would also be undertaking tasks such as monitoring of vital signs, applying wound dressings, carrying out ECGs, and taking bloods. You will be provided with training and support to achieve competencies in these areas.

We are looking for people who are caring, hard-working, have effective communication skills, and are flexible. You will need to be able work over a seven day period, working between the hours of 08:00 and 22:00. We will provide a full induction, regular support along with excellent ongoing training opportunities, so you can develop new skills and strengths.

Applications would be welcomed from people with experience working within a health or social care environment at NVQ level 3 ( or equivalent level of experience) if you are an existing Band 2 looking for career progression this could be an ideal opportunity for you.
