We have an exciting opportunity within CAMHS for Band 4 Senior Business Assistants. If you are an experienced secretary/administrator who is looking for a role in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, you may be the person we are looking for.

In recognition of the need for increased access to specialist mental health services we are fortunate to have recently received additional investment in our future workforce and are seeking to recruit to a range of roles across all areas. Your role will be to provide support to CAMHS clinical services during an exciting period of change and implementation of new services.

Hours of working will be between the hours of 8am-8pm Monday – Friday to meet the needs of the service. Hours of work can be discussed at interview, flexibility, and the ability to provide cover for absence and annual leave is essential

The successful candidates will have significant experience of working in a Personal Assistant / Senior Secretarial capacity and be able to work supportively with others to assist service managers and clinical leads in maximising the efficient use of their time and the resources of the service and with production of high-quality effective reports, training materials, administrative systems, and processes. In addition, you will be dealing with patients who are experiencing mental health problems and you need to be both resilient and empathetic in nature.

You must be flexible and willing to work from any of our bases across LLR at short notice to provide cover for annual leave or sickness.

In addition to the above you will be able to demonstrate essential knowledge and experience in the following areas:

  • Be an experienced, highly motivated, and enthusiastic individual.
  • Have experience of staff supervision in the workplace.
  • Have experience of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have experience of implementing and supervising change within a team or service.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrate good organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise work.
  • Be a competent user of Microsoft office packages, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • A good working knowledge of SystmOne is desirable.
  • Communicate effectively in a professional manner, with a wide variety of Health Professionals, Managers, young people, their families, and other agencies.
  • Be able to work under pressure, with conflicting demands and tight deadlines
