Reporting to the Head of Emergency Operations Centre - Bristol, the Emergency Operations Centres (EOC) Recruitment Lead is a highly visible and accountable position within the Trust and is key part of the EOC Leadership Team, ensuring high quality and effective recruitment processes are in place within the EOCs. They will take the lead role on co-ordinating and facilitating all selection processes within the EOCs, strategically overseeing and developing recruitment plans and trajectories.

The EOC recruitment lead will be the key relationship holder with the HR Department to plan, co-ordinate and administrate recruitment processes, with a particular focus on EMD recruitment initially. They will be responsible for ensuring delivery of recruitment plans, undertaking necessary interventions to keep programmes on track, managing and escalating any significant variation to the Head of EOC – Bristol.

The EOC Recruitment Lead will be expected to pull together all the necessary workstreams under the recruitment umbrella, providing a consistent Operations management point of contact to aid in consistency and overall recruitment programme management. In addition the post holder will be expected to forward plan to ensure the recruitment trajectories remain on plan and also take a lead on innovative recruitment ideas, developing the pipeline for all roles. This will include leading from an Operations perspective on open evenings and recruitment engagement activities.

The post holder will be expected to actively seek out best practice nationally and bring back into Trust, working closely with colleagues from other Ambulance Trusts and other relevant providers.

In addition to recruitment leadership responsibilities the EOC Recruitment Lead will oversee onboarding processes from point of course commencement, ensuring that class leading onboarding and induction processes are in place within the EOCs to support outstanding experience for new starters and promote high levels of retention. This will include leading on high quality induction processes and co-ordinating this activity in conjunction with the wider EOC Operations Management team.
