An exciting opportunity has become available to be a part of a forward thinking community substance misuse service. We are seeking a motivated, committed and enthusiastic Band 5 Nurse to provide clinical alcohol and drug treatment services at Telford Substance Misuse and Recovery Service (Stars).

Our aim is to provide high-quality, planned care to individuals experiencing substance misuse problems in order to improve their health and wellbeing and to support their recovery.

The main responsibilities of this role includes a lead role on the healthcare agenda ensuring service users new into treatment are provided with the healthcare requirements and screening, such as BBV’s, Harm reduction advice, physical Health observations, liaising with the appropriate partnership agencies in line with the Public Health Agenda, whilst embracing and promoting the concept of recovery

You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, be proficient in the use of information technology and able to work with minimal supervision.

We work within a multi-disciplinary team approach which requires flexibility, and the ability to both prioritise and adapt according to service need as well as act as a key leader in providing clinical supervision and training.
