We provide mental health, learning disability and autism services to a local population of over 755,000 across 45 sites, as well as specialist services for children and young people.

Do you have lived experience of caring for a loved one, who has a learning disability and have accessed services? Do you want to use your lived experience to influence and re-shape services within LPFT?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a parent/carer expert by experience, who is a passionate, enthusiastic individual, with lived experienced of caring for a loved one with a learning disability who has accessed services, to work on a sessional basis (bank).

Working alongside LPFT professionals an expert by experience will need to be able to share details of their lived experience of accessing services and build positive relationships with colleagues and other professionals to help shape LPFT services for adults who have a learning disability.

Specific projects may involve recruitment, helping facilitate training/workshops, review current provision and resources alongside other professionals.

As this post is bank, hours will be dependent on availability of opportunities; the post-holder will be able to choose whether they accept the offer of work.
