An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fast paced, friendly, and committed Business Administration team as a Business Assistant to the Clinical Team Leaders across Leicester City Locality. The role will consist in supporting the Clinical Teams with ESR, absence records, HR documentation, data collection and distribution, communication to Healthy Together Clinical and Administrative teams, meeting preparation and minutes, as well as a number of additional administrative duties in line with the job specification.

The Business Assistants work in a small team providing support to the Family Service Manager as well as a number of Health Visiting & School Nursing Teams within Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland, which form part of FYPC services.

The successful applicant will be based at Bridge Park Plaza (Thurmaston) working 37.5 hrs per week over 5 days Monday to Friday. Ideally the candidate will work between the hours of 9-5 in line with the service requirements. We are currently looking at a Blended approach to working and this involves some degree of home working once training has been completed.

The role is diverse, with each day bringing new challenges. You will have a proven ability in using your own initiative and working with confidential and highly sensitive information, showing attention to detail and the ability to work accurately, whilst understanding the importance of adhering to Trust Policies and local procedures. A confident, professional personality with a can do attitude will be an asset.

The successful candidate will have experience of managing data, working with spreadsheets and fast flowing information, communication skills at all levels, Competent Microsoft Office Skills particularly with Outlook and managing calendars and multiple diaries, an ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines as well as having a friendly and positive outlook to difficult scenarios.

Due to the fast pace and nature of the work, the post holder would be required to have the essential knowledge and experience or be willing to learn and develop from commencement and be able to demonstrate within the following areas:

You must be able to demonstrate your ability in relation to the following skills which are essential to the role:

  • Previous experiences of working in an administrative service
  • GCSE in English Language and Maths Grade C/4 or above.
  • Highly skilled in all Microsoft Office Packages.
  • NVQ/RQF Level 3 in administration or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience in delivering an efficient administrative service.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • The ability to manipulate data, displaying clear and concise information.
  • An ability to communicate sensitively and effectively at all levels.
  • An ability to prioritise work on a daily basis and be confident working independently.
  • Experience of diary management and meeting facilitation.
