  • Snowdon is a 16 bedded unit which specialises in the treatment of adults with physical and cognitive impairment following a recent neurological event or a long- term neurological condition. We offer specialist in-patient goal orientated neurological rehabilitation. The service includes multidisciplinary assessment and treatment programmes in a specially adapted mixed sex, therapeutic environment.
  • The Kite Unit is a 10 bedded purpose-built unit offering a neuropsychiatric service providing rehabilitation to individuals with a brain injury whose impairments are largely in the cognitive, behavioural or mental health spectrum. The service supports people who have a neurological condition which, when combined with other health and/or psychiatric needs, creates significant difficulties or leads to the presentation of challenging behaviour, for whom the required support is more intensive or clinically specialised. The Kite Unit can support patients who require detention under the Mental Health Act.

Both units focus on neuro-rehabilitation, neuropsychiatry and disability management in line with the definitions used by the British Society of Rehabilitation Medicine (BSRM) for Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and are registered with UK Rehabilitation Outcome Collaborative (UKROC) contributing data to the national database.
